I recently bought an SX-62 for $45. Good price but dial glass broke in shipping. It was packed well, but due the the radio's weight, the packing material pushed up against the glass and shattered it. I remember dealing with Radiodaze 20 yrs ago for another radio...I went directly to Radiodaze and YUP they had one in stock.
Item came in the mail packed very well, and really, just the work is very impressive. These guys are a real life saver. Thank You.

The Hallicrafters SX-62 has been around for over 60 years and remains a top-notch set. The "DC to Daylight" feature (at least for its time) of continuous coverage from 550 KC to 130 MC (with FM) is rarely found in any set of its vintage, and the sound quality still beats about anything out there. There is a picture of an SX-62 sitting on a table in LBJ's oval office....
One of its outstanding features is the huge dial glass, with a strip for each band and exotic names and places (though most of these stations are sadly defunct). But this is a delicate piece of artistry--the ink often flakes off, or the glass gets broken by careless handling. The life or death of the set often hinges on it.
Fortunately Radiodaze has recognized the need for replacement glasses and offers this one. Can it possibly be as good as the one created by the Hallicrafters artists? If anything, it is better. The printing is crisp and detailed and the fonts are exactly right. I can only imagine that it took an extraordinary layout effort to get that much stuff into so small a space. Strongest recommendation!

Took a few days to make, but worth the wait.
Probably better than the original was when new.
The packing for shipping was unbelievably good. I doubt any postal service in the world could have been rough enough to break the glass.

The new dial glass for the Hallicrafters SX-62A is great. It fits correctly and the lettering matches the original. It's great.
